The addition of tables can help to organize data, assignments, etc.
To make a table, simply find the "Table" tab after selecting "Edit"
You will be prompted to give the number of rows (up/down) and columns (left/right) - this can be modified later
Once you have created a table you can add/delete rows/columns to the left, right, top, bottom
Formatting inside a table is not always easy, you can only format the text of one individual box at a time

Recommended use: for assignment sheets, etc. They get pretty big, I'll reformat mine for next year, here's an example
Mr. Baier does a great job of providing answer key's to his fellow ignorant scientists - I often provide these for the kids after the fact and add to their assignment sheet for them to review, fix their work, and see an exemplar for showing work during calculations.
